The scoop! |
||
It almost seems I grew up with clay in my veins....When I was just a teenager....my aunt bought me some Disney bisque to paint....I fell in love right there. I saved my money and bought my first kiln. It looked like a tall soup kettle. I held ceramic classes in the basement of my parents home in Connecticut. Every Monday, the "Ladies" would come over and we would clean greenware and paint christmas trees and nativity sets. As time moved on, I did ceramics on and off....then about six years ago...I took a pottery class...WOW....I was back in love....again, I bought a wheel and a kiln and now my garage is my studio. I love the feel of clay in my hands, I love playing with fire when I RAKU. I love that every day is different, and that clay has such a wide variety.....I am always learning something new!!
